Spa time

Last night Jeff and I decided to go relax in the spa in our complex. We love it right now because it is still a little chilly at night and we feel like it is our private spa because we have never seen anyone out there besides us. Apparently Jeff was feeling a little casual and comfortable after he couldn't find clean board shorts and so he put on a pair of his green boxer briefs he wears under shorts to workout in. We wrapped ourselves in towels and ran the few steps over and brought along my egg timer because I had bread in the oven. After about 5 minutes of relaxing we were suddenly interrupted! We look over at the gate and two guys are entering! If we would have thought fast enough for Jeff to hop out really quick and put his towel on, we might have been ok. But we weren't fast. In fact, we were panicking. The guys get in, we say hello, and then that awkward silence occurred, you know where the party that just got in is kind of expecting your spa time to be over.... so, Jeff and I are mulling over how to get out unsuspectingly. We thought, he could just slide up and sit on the edge and I could throw his towel on top of him. No, that might be obvious. Maybe he could get out and I could follow really quickly as to distract them with my white voluptuous ba-donka-donk. No, they were sitting right by the exit stairs and were sure to have a straight shot. Then my timer goes off so we have to just go for it. And with no shame he did, Jeff hops right out, puts his towel on and headed for home! Later that night we decided that if we would have greeted them with European accents, he might have gotten away with his tiny tight speedo looking boxer briefs! You can click here if you just have to have a visual, they are available at Target and are quite comfortable, according to Jeff.

Sacramento

To celebrate the February/March birthdays in my family, Jeff and I went up to Sacramento last week. We went hiking in Auburn, visited the 39th pier in San Fran, and hung out in the backyard a lot. Jeff even made a bow and arrow for my neice Arianna. What a blast and thanks to Jeff for taking some time off work so we could come and for letting me stay longer.

Thanks Tuck for not making me have to draw another heart....

Ok, Taylor is ready for Halloween next year!

Meet the Boys!

I got these dogs for Kristy for an early Valentine's Day gift. Rocky is brown and likes to harass Riley while he's sleeping. This was our first night and we decided to let them sleep with us because they were whining too loud downstairs. Riley has cute little white paws and Rocky has beautiful blue green eyes. They are both a Lab/Australian Shepperd/Golden Retriever mix and are 8 weeks old. We are so glad that we got the two of them because they are brothers and will probably keep each other very happy. We are training them to pee on the doggy diaper and they are learning quickly. We are so excited to raise them. Their owner told us that they will get pretty big, especially Riley. He's probably gonna be as big as a bear. That's why I call him Riley Bear. Kristy wanted to name the brown one Tucker but while she was in WalMart I gave him his shot and he started nibbling at my fingers and acting rambunctious so I thought Rocky was a good name and she agreed. We are so excited raise them and see them grow!

Superbowl food

Yesterday I made a few things for the big game. We had pigs in a blanket made with turkey hot dogs and crescent rolls. Even though they were slightly healthy we both had two each and after that we were so stuffed. But the problem is that I was also in the process of making a cheeseburger pizza. Now this may sound disgusting, but it was actually good. Does anyone make their own pizza anymore? I was at the grocery store on Saturday and could not find one of those pizza shells to make your own pizza with. (I remember my mom used to always get those Boboli shells.) I was determined to make this pizza anyway so I got out my grandma's old Betty Crocker cook book knowing there would be a recipe in it for pizza crust, and there was. So I rolled out the dough, made the round hump at the end (whatever you call it) for the crust and put on the toppings which consisted of ground turkey (that's all I use these days instead of beef), with condensed tomato soup, and a little cheddar cheese on top. It didn't really taste like a cheeseburger but it was pretty good. After that was done baking, Jeff and I proceeded to eat a couple peices only 20 minutes after we ate our hotdogs! To say the least, we could not move. We went to watch the second half at a friends house and luckily we only had to eat one cookie. I say had to, because I knew she made them for us. To make ourselves feel better, we rationalized that it was our only meal for the day! Nevertheless....diet starts today!
